Leucophyllum frutescens, commonly called Texas sage, silver leaf or barometer bush, Simple, alternate leaves are soft and velvety, bluish grey in colour and measuring up to about 2.5 – 3 cm long, smooth margins. Flowers are violet to purple, and sometimes pink and soft and velvety with smooth margins.
